Today has been wonderful.

I am what I call "in between hells" right now.

Explanation coming....

I am in the process of setting up 8 stories to be shot at the moment. One was shot yesterday and the rest will be within the next 2 or 3 weeks. I have about 20 phone calls out to various places around the country that I am waiting for returns on. Sports information offices, videographers etc. So while I wait for folks to return my calls, I'm kinda in a wait and see mode. That is, I can't really do a whole lot more until I hear from some of these folks. So basically I have an opportunity to regain some sense of sanity.

Not that one day is enough for that to happen.

Rewind to this morning...3am. We are all sound asleep when...

Boom!!....followed quickly by Hayli screaming.

She had fallen out of bed.

Laura and I both hop up at the same time, still basically asleep, and rush into her room. There she was, sitting on the floor, crying her eyes out. She had fallen and landed right on her chin, and busted it wide open.

It's amazing how quickly seeing your childs blood will shake the cob webs away.

Long story short, she is fine. No stitches needed, but one helluva bruise on her chin. it took us about 45 minutes to get her all calmed down, patched up and back to bed. Of course the noise woke Jami, and I had to take some time to assure her that "sissy" would be ok.

Jami is such a doll. When Hayli was sitting in Lauras lap crying, she went into her room and came back with her favorite beanie baby, one that Hayli loves, and told her she could sleep with it for the rest of the night. How sweet is that? I took her back in her room afterwards and made sure she knew how wonderful that was, and how proud of her I was. She really is amazing sometimes.

Anyway, we finally got back to bed around 4:15am. All the gals in the house went right back to sleep. For some reason I could not, and ended up just staying up. I had to get up at 6am anyway, so what the hell.

And yes I am one tired mo fo right about now.

Let's hope nobody does a half gainer tonight. I could use the shut eye.
