It's the third day of classes and already I have a ton of things to do. I have to read so much for all of my classes. I'm used to the college I went to last semester. I had to study a lot, but this is so much more than it was there. I may sound like I am complaining, which I am in a way, but I think this is going to be good for me. Who was it in the forum that said an education is everything? Anyways, if I don't slack off, this is going to help me become really self-disiplined. I'm going to London this weekend. On Friday night I'm going with a group of people to see Les Miserables. I hope I spelled that right. It should be fun. I enjoy the theatre. We have Saturday to ourselves so I'm going to be taking on London! I think I may go to the Tower of London and some galleries. I'm sure I'll be in London more in the next few months so I'll leave a few things untouched this weekend so that the experience will be new the next time I go. Next weekend, a few friends and I are trying to make plans to go to Bath and Stonehenge. I will be going in a month or so with the school, but since I made a decision to come to this school based on the fact that I will be able to go to Stonehenge, I can stand to go twice. I'm not feeling very homesick here. There is always something to do to keep my mind from straying. When I get bored I usually reminice and then I start to miss things too much. I do miss my family and friends but this is worth being 5000 miles away. I think I'm that far from home...not positive. Tomorrow I'm going to borrow a tent and sleeping bag from the school with some people here and we're going to camp out. Instead of going to a camp ground, we're just going to pitch it in one of the area's outside of the manor. I don't know the correct term for it. A garden area? It's definitely not a back yard! But, we might pitch a tent, go to the pub, come back, socialize, and the pass out. We will just all wake up early Friday morning, get a shower, and then get on the bus to go to London. It should be a cool experience. I'll write again tomorrow. Bye-bye. courtney ps...I've found that the spell check on this mail program isn't very good so I apologize ahead of time if anyone is struggling to figure out what some misspelled word is supposed to be. |
